All will be revealed!
Yes, hello again ladies and gents of all ages! We won't stall, instead we'll just cut straight to the juicy part!
This week's class have made an elegant card using numerous die cuts and an embossing folder. So why the lamb chop reference on Tuesday i hear you ask yourself? Well the front of this card has a wonderful edge designed created by using a die cut called a ''lamb chop'' and you can see why...
Yes it's all because it looks like a lamb chop! What a surprise that must be for you all! I bet we had you all worried or even pondering the meaning and we do apologise if this isn't what you were expecting but after what's a craft shop where the staff aren't crafty? (Just to clarify we are honest to all of our customers and this is simply a bad pun!)
Here are some of the photos from today's class, and a quick ''How To''! All photos are uploaded to our Facebook page, so why not check it out?
Moving on! How would somebody go about making a card similar to this one at home? Well we always have the answers here!
First, you will need a sheet of A4 Card which you will need to cut off 14cm (along the length of the card).
Then, use an MNF score board; place card landscape against the but bar, and score on line number 5, then turn it round and score on line number 3.
The lamb chop die is used on the smaller side and you will need to emboss the larger side, using a butterfly embossing folder. The inside of the card is left blank.
From the piece that you cut off you can cut out 4 die cut corners. You will then need a seperate piece of matching card to emboss 2 butterflies which you will cut out to go on the front of the card.
The oval is also a die cut, and the message is stamped on and raised using embossing powder.
With a small piece of ribbon wrap it round the butterfly embossed side of the card, and stick one of your butterflies on the part where the ribbon joins to achieve a professional look!
And that's it.. you've made a wonderful card fit for numerous occasions and you don't have to use white or stick to one colour, you can use any colour (or numerous colours) to achieve the look that you want!
