Scraps & Chocolate Trees

This Week's Workshops

Well it's what you readers have been waiting for! Yes all is going to be revealed about this weeks workshop!
This week the ladies made two cards of completely contrasting design! The first card our apprentice has called the ''Chocolate Trees'' card simply because both sets of paper used look like white and milk chocolate, and the topper has a tree on it. The second card we've called ''Odd Bits'' and the title is self explanatory, we've used up a range of all the bits of scrap paper and odd shapes to create this wonderful
and uniquely designed card. Then we stamped a message onto it and wha la! One fantastically funky card :)

Chocolate Trees!
Odd Bits!
Here are the photos from the classes!!

The Chocolate Trees card is fairly easy to make and you can use any colours or topper that you like, you can also vary which punch and/or dies that you use so let your imagination be free!

To make this you will need to:
Punch down one side of creme card to make a decorative edge.
Put a piece of brown card through an embossing folder.
Attach a small piece of ribbon  to the bottom of the brown card and attach a bow.
The brown card then need to be attached to the cream card, then  die cut a decorative circle in cream card. This is where you will then mount your tree topper using 3D foam.
With brown card, punch out tiny flowers to attach to the tree, and stick a gem in the center of the flower.
Three flowers are then die cut and arranged on the card however you like.

Of course the Odd Bits card doesn't particularly need an explanation, it is an A5 card and whatever odd papers and maybe even embellishments or brads that you have lying around, arranged how you would like it and stuck into place! The rest is up to you!
