Going back to the good old days :)

Good afternoon, it's a short one because our apprentice is at college however we hope you enjoy :)

Sometimes in life, simplicity is the key to happiness and that can be the case when it comes to card making or scrapbooking.
We have all made those cards or completed those craft projects, taken a step back and thought 'I wish I didn't put that on there'.
One problem that occurs very regularly when crafting is knowing when to stop and say 'that's enough and I'm happy', we look at our work and we critisise if we think it looks too plain.

We want you all to think back to the days when you first began crafting (or if you're a beginner look at your previous creations), look at how you either stick everything on or you knew that enough was enough. Its all because sometimes people over compensate when it comes to designing a card because if they don't then they feel it's not good enough.

We say don't over compensate!! If you make a simple card with one topper and a piece of ribbon with a small sentiment inside why should that be a bad thing?
Simple is sometimes better!
We have seen a card with such a simple design and it was beautiful, elegant and it said all it needed to and it only had two feathers on it!

So get your craft boxes out, and some bits and bobs, and take inspiration from the simple things in life that you love and designs you think are outdated! Be proud of every card you make :)

We believe in you crafters!

And don't forget to share those cards on our Facebook page!
