The Stamping Workshop!
Hello, hello everyone! we're bringing you all the updates from this weeks workshops! Yes yesterdays blog title may have thrown you off or given you all you need to know about this week's workshop theme. Yes it's all to do with stamping, which convinced us someone was having a tantrum! But no, it's just the ladies stamping away on their fabulous cards!
The first card they have made is one of our own design, the purples tone together wonderfully to create a really bright and decorative card perfect for all occasions!
This card is simple and easy to make!
First, you need an A4 piece of card, place it landscape on the MNF fold board and score it on lines 1 and 3, then turn the card round and score the same lines on the opposite end to give you the shape of your card.
You need one piece of A5 patterned paper, and stick it in the centre of the card, then get a piece of A6 stripey/patterned paper, a piece of white card 11 x 15.5cm, distress around the edge of the white card. Then matt and layer these in the middle of your card. You will then need two strips 2.5 x 21cm each, place both strip on the front panels of your card. Next you need two strips of white paper 2 x 21 cm, colour of this paper with your ink pad (use a border punch to make the pattern), and put the strips on the front panels on top of your patterned paper. Then, get a piece of A6 white card and stamp your image on (with the same ink pad) and drag the colour in with a water brush. After this, you can die cut the shape (in the image above) and distress around the edges of your image, then matt and layer using foam pads in the middle of your card. Finally fix the Card Candi as see in picture.
The second card the ladies have made this week was designed by one of our fantastic ladies especially for the workshop! It easy, simple and you can make it any way you like in any colours!
To make this particular card we used:
Football and fottball boots Kanban backing card
Black and green card
White card (for stamping)
square base card
A die cut trophy and a Marianne football strip (which includes a football and numbers)
A Wild Rose Studios footballer stamp
And a Woodware punch.
And here are the pictures of the wonderful ladies hard at work! Enjoy!
