A glorious day but... what is all that stamping?
Hello, hello, hello everyone isn't a simply marvelous day! Yes it may be chilly still but with the sun hanging out, it's sure to warm up soon!
I'm sure you've all heard about England's supposed ''heat wave'' next week and we want to know if any of you are getting into that warm, wonderful spirit with your crafting? A sunny seaside card, a decorated Beach Hut, or just pulling up the deck chairs and crafting in the sun! Let us know, because we always love to hear what you have all been up to!
As a quick reminder all details for the HunkyDory challenge can be found on our Facebook page. And there is no need to worry if you don;t think you will finish your card in time, just email us at: the-treasury@btconnect.com or give us a ring on 01562 510203, and let us know that you want a day or so extra, we won't mind!
Cards will be judged starting next weekend :)
Continuing.. as we do every week we'll be giving you a little teaser about this week's workshop.
- The title of this particular post give you a clue as to this week's theme, also we want to say that you'll have a ''ball'' following our how to tomorrow. The photos are sure to have a ''pattern'' in them so you best keep a look out!
And now, after this very mixed beginning we have a card that we would like to post, and though it may not be sun and warmth related it's a vibrant card that one of our ladies ha very kindly said we could post to give others inspiration. Also if you look at the design of this card i'm sure you'll notice that with a change of colours and some slight alterations, it could just as easily be a card made for the summer!
How do I make it summery?
Brown, orange and red, = white, light blue, pink and yellow.
Gold = Silver
Change the paper in the middle.
It's as easy as that.
But let's not talk about all the ways to change this card. Instead let's look at this design and admire for a moment how wonderfully creative it is! This lady has used a regular die cut shape, looked at it and thought about leaves.. then worked from that and made this fabulous card! The gold die cut shapes on the corners are a fantastic space filler and the sentiment at the bottom is perfect!
We don't have a picture but the sentiment on the inside reads: With Warmest Wishes for a Wonderful Birthday.
The sentiment is a superb choice, especially for a cold autumn. This along side the beautifully warm colours makes for a truly clever and inspirational card.
