Something a bit personal.
Good morning readers. Today I would like to write something for you that's a little different to my usual posts.
This morning I will be writing about my inspiration. For those of you who not know, my name is Ann-Marie and I work at the treasury as an apprentice (I do all the online work).
Before I found The Treasury, I had no idea what card making or Scrapbooking was about, or that it even existed as a hobby. However, since doing my work experience and then working here full-time, I have learnt so much about both! All of the customers that show us their work truly amaze me... the time, effort and all the creativity that a person can put into a single card or craft project is absolutely astonishing.
But, it's not just our customers that amaze me but also my co workers, Pat and Carol, who don't get enough credit for the work that they put in to keeping the shop up and running every day. Coming into work early in the morning, they work just so they can give all of our customers the best service possible. And yet, they don't stop there. Every single week without fail they deliver 3 wonderful classes, 2 on a Tuesday and 1 on a Thursday. Each week the ladies that come to our workshops get the opportunity to make 2 cards, designed by Pat and/or Carol, during the week or their spare time. And it continues! Recently, we haven't been having the best luck here on Park Lane but regardless, both of these ladies have come in, without complaint and carried on working, doing what they do the best and although it's been rough they always serve with a smile on their face.
These two amazing ladies work their hearts out and never ask for anything in return, and that's why i wanted to write this post today. They deserve appreciation and they are so grateful to everyone who has helped them during this last month, and i want to thank you also.
Pat and Carol are my inspiration. Without them, I have no idea where I would be and I know for a fact that if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be learning to make cards! There couldn't be a better place for me to learn then right here, working with these fabulous ladies.
This is my way of saying a really big THANK YOU to Pat and Carol, and of sharing with all of you just what it's like here at The Treasury.
